چکیده

One of the basic concepts of set theoretic geology is the mantle of a model of set theory V: it is the intersection of all grounds of V, that is, of all inner models M of V such that V is a set-forcing extension of M . The main theme of the present paper is to identify situations in which the mantle turns out to be a fine structural extender model. The first main result is that this is the case when the universe is constructible from a set and there is an inner model with a Woodin cardinal. The second situation like that arises if L[E] is an extender model that is iterable in V but not internally iterable, as guided by P -constructions, L[E] has no strong cardinal, and the extender sequence E is ordinal definable in L[E] and its forcing extensions by collapsing a cutpoint to ω (in an appropriate sense). The third main result concerns the Solid Core of a model of set theory. This is the collection of all sets that are constructible from a set of ordinals that cannot be added by set-forcing to an inner model. The main result here is that if there is an inner model with a Woodin cardinal, then the solid core is a fine-structural extender model.

An Inner Models Proof of the Kechris–martin Theorem

We give an inner model theoretic proof of the Kechris–Martin theorem, stating under determinacy that the pointclass Π13 is closed under existential quantifiers on ordinals below uω , the ωth uniform indiscernible, and of related results, including a characterization of Π13 using Σ1 truth in least admissible structures over T2, the Martin– Solovay tree for Π12. The inner model theoretic proofs r...

A Reconsideration of the Effect of the Structure of Abbasid`s Political Power on Islamic Civilization during the Period of 132 to 247 of Hijrah

Some extensive studies have taken place by now in the field of Abbasid`s appearance, duration and disappearance of Caliphate. Yet, there can be found many considerable aspects of truth in the mind of historians needed to be described. The problem of the study is: what influence did the structure of Abbasid`s political power have on Islamic civilization? The first hypothesis posing itself in min...

Some Second Order Set Theory

Set theory is the study of sets, particularly the transfinite, with a focus on well-founded transfinite recursion. Began with Cantor in late 19th century, matured in mid 20th century. Set theory today is vast: independence, large cardinals, forcing, combinatorics, the continuum, descriptive set theory,... Set theory also serves as an ontological foundation for all (or much of) mathematics. Math...
